My Services
What I Offer
Prenatal Support
The first visit we will cover intake forms, your birth plan, and go through the doula contracts together. Our second visit will be spent practicing massage and pain management techniques with your primary birth partner, and the various positions you can labor and deliver in.

You may have noticed that, unless you're high-risk, your OBGYN appointments tend to last 5-15 minutes--you can expect to spend at least an hour at each of our prenatal appointments. It's important to have the time and space to express all your feelings; you may have questions about your symptoms or difficulty processing a previous birth. While there is a general schedule we follow, I encourage you to make the most out of our time together by voicing all your questions, comments, and concerns regarding your pregnancy and upcoming childbirth experience.

Labor Support
Unlike with a midwife, there's no "wrong time" to alert me to your labor or ask me to join you. At times I will do the majority of my work before you even leave for the hospital; for women who can expect long or prodromal labors, natural pain management at home can be the best defense against going to the hospital too early and being sent away. For other births, I've met clients at triage to be an advocate and safe person. For still others, I will join them at their home whenever contractions become too intense to manage alone, but labor is still too early for a midwife to be called.

Regardless of your situation, labor support is a guarantee. As a licensed massage therapist, I'm able to offer many natural pain management options, including the use of a TENS unit, counterpressure, essential oils, heat and ice therapy, and a Rebozo.

Postpartum Support
Our postpartum session will be used mainly to process your unique birth experience; I can help you recall the chain of events, explain why your birth team took certain actions, provide perspective on how things unfolded, and lend a listening ear to your thoughts and feelings on the experience overall. I can also provide you with referrals to providers near you if you'd like chiropractic, nutrition, physical therapy, tongue tie revisions, or any other support.

In the year after welcoming your little one, I am still joyfully available for additional support, texting and calling, a word of advice, encouragement, information, or whatever else you may need!
